Asiatic Launches “Asiatic Green Hearts for Mangrove Reforestation” Program
December 20, 2024 – Asiatic Agro Industry Co., Ltd. (Asiatic), led by Mr. Nutapon Visuthikraisee, Managing Director, launched its latest sustainability initiative, “Asiatic Volunteers for Mangrove Reforestation” in Laem Yai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Songkhram Province. The project brought together 70 company employees to take part in a hands-on mangrove planting activity, reinforcing the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
The activity is part of the Mangrove Afforestation Project for Carbon Credit Benefit developed by the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources in collaboration with the private sector under Thailand’s Mangrove Alliance. The project covers 100 rai of land (approximately 40 acres) with the aim of restoring coastal ecosystems and preserving national resources.
During the activity, participants planted 200 mangrove saplings. This initiative reflects Asiatic’s dedication and commitment to environmental sustainability, ecosystem restoration, and climate change mitigation. It also fosters a sense of environmental responsibility among employees and strengthens the bond between the company and the local community .
