Asiatic Promotes Carbon Credit Reforestation Project in Samut Songkhram

October 3, 2024 – Asiatic Agro Industry Co., Ltd. (Asiatic) hosted a public hearing event at the Laem Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Mueang District, Samut Songkhram Province as part of executing the Mangrove Reforestation Project. Under the supervision of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, Asiatic will rehabilitate 100 rai (approximately 40 acres) of land in the coastal mangrove in the gulf of Thailand.

The event aimed to engage the community on the importance of expanding mangrove forest areas as natural carbon sinks to help combat climate change. The event was presided over by Mr. Amornsak Chatratin, Chief Executive of the Laem Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, with special remarks from an expert of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources. The session was joined by about 30 community leaders and members, highlighting strong community interest and participation in sustainable environmental initiatives. This activity reflects Asiatic’s vision and commitment to climate action, ecological restoration, and inclusive community engagement.

October 2, 2024 – Asiatic Agro Industry Co., Ltd. (Asiatic) continues its commitment to community support and cultural traditions. Led by Mr. Vijai Visuthikraisee, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Nutapon Visuthikraisee, Managing Director, donated 80 cartons of “Amphawa” coconut milk and 80 cartons of “Cocomax” coconut water, totaling 160 cartons to Siou Hok Tua Shrine in Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province.

The company donated a total of 160 cases of products to support the annual Vegetarian Festival. The donation included 80 cases of “Ampawa” coconut milk and 80 cases of “Cocomax” coconut water products were presented to the administrator of Siou Hok Tua Shrine in Kwae Om Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, as part of the company’s effort to promote local traditions and contribute to meaningful cultural events.

July 26, 2024 – Asiatic Agro Industry Co., Ltd. (Asiatic) represented by Ms. Anchalee Tenner, Director of Business Development, and Mr. Nitipong Srisoontaraporn, Sustainable Development Manager, participated in the official launch of the Thailand Mangrove Alliance at the Bangkok Art & Culture Center.

The event was held in celebration of the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center in Pathumwan District, Bangkok. The event brought together stakeholders from multiple sectors to form a national alliance dedicated to the conservation, restoration, and protection of mangrove ecosystems across Thailand. Through this partnership, Asiatic joins forces with other organizations to support collaborative action and long-term efforts aimed at safeguarding one of the country s most vital natural resources.

(Asiatic) represented donated 50 packs of drinking water to support the “Mangrove Planting for the King’s Legacy” event, organized by the 16th Military Circle Command. The event was held at Ban Chu Chi School, Bang Ja Kreng Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Songkhram Province.

The activity aimed to preserve and expand mangrove forests while continuing His Majesty’s vision of environmental stewardship and sustainable development. August 16, 2024 – As part of its ongoing commitment to community development, Asiatic Agro Industry Co., Ltd. (Asiatic) donated a scholarship fund worth 18,000 THB to Amphawa Vocational College.

The support is aimed at assisting underprivileged students and helping them pursue their education without financial barriers. The scholarship was presented to Director of Amphawa Vocational College, with the witness of receiving students. The company has continuously partnered Amphawa Vocational College for several years, not only in a form of scholarship but also an internship program that receives graduating students from the college to train at our factory

Asiatic Supports Buddhist Lent Ceremony

July 19, 2024 – Asiatic Agro Industry Co., Ltd. (Asiatic) proudly took part in the annual Buddhist Lent Candle Offering and Kathina Robe Ceremony, contributing 10,000 THB in financial support to the event. The donation was received by Mr. Thaweeb Amsiri, Chief Executive of Phraek Nam Daeng Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and allocated to support the local musical performance that added vibrant cultural elements to the celebration.

In addition to the monetary support, the company also provided collective donations from employees to further contribute to the ceremony and delegated company representatives to join the traditional candle procession, reinforcing their role in preserving Thai cultural heritage.
